COLLABORATE
Our inspiration stems from a shared concern over the ongoing demolition and insensitive renovation of historic buildings, often carried out without regard for their historical significance or the voices of the community. As enthusiasts of architecture, history, and design, we recognize that once these structures are lost, they cannot be replaced.
Preservation should not be viewed as an impediment to progress, but rather as an opportunity to honor and extend the narrative of Springfield. At QCP we hope to give people the tools to preserve our city and demonstrate the value that these buildings contribute to our city’s identity is crucial. Cities that preserve their historic character tend to thrive culturally and economically.

Paden Chambers
ARCHITECT
& ARCHITECTURAL HISTORIANPaden Chambers is an architect with N·FORM Architecture, where he leads historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects across Missouri. A former chair of the Springfield Landmarks Board and current adjunct professor at Drury University, he combines deep research and design expertise to ensure Springfield’s historic places endure for future generations.

Genevieve Henry
INTERIOR ARCHITECT
& PRESERVATION PROGRAM DIRECTORGenevieve “Hadie” Henry is an interior architect and preservation advocate based in Springfield, Missouri. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she brings expertise in adaptive reuse and design to her work with Queen City Preservation. Her passion for historic places reflects a lifelong appreciation for how architecture shapes communities and connects past and present.

& CULTURAL RESOURCE SPECIALISTA Springfield native and Deputy Regional Director for Missouri State Parks, Katy Holmer has spent over two decades working all across the Midwest to preserve our cultural and natural resources. With a background in landscape architecture and cultural resource preservation, she brings deep expertise and a lifelong passion for connecting people to the landscapes that define their history.
